If you travelled the Continent of Europe in the sixties train travel was an elegant experience, especially the ‘Trans European Express’ with their famous double decker dome cards. Now a new train operation ‘ The New Polar Express’ transports us through the heart of Scandinavia to the Artic Circle and Lapland. The highlands of Sweden north of the Arctic Circle can justifiably let claim to being Europe’s last great wilderness. North of Boden lies the legendary ‘land of the midnight sun’ and to the east Lulea Archipelago, with its three hundred islands. With spectacular viewing from the Dome Bar, this journey will prove to be one of the greatest in the world.

The new Polar Express is part of six titles in the World Class train Series. Each programme contains a complete study of the locomotive and rolling stock and its livery, including a brief resume of each loco history., accompanied by breath taking scenery of the journey. Including scenes on the footplate with the driver, a tour of each train by the guard, through the accommodation and facilities on board and a guided look at the scenery and locations enroute.
The programmes are recorded with digital cameras to give a “filmic” feel of glorious colour and picture postcard shots, with Dolby Surround Sound.
